Felix Huettenbach Covid
Short version: Hüttenbach built a corporate Covid-19 testing unit at Quantgene, saw the same need unmet among the general public, and founded SameDay Health in 2020 to fix it directly.
The setup
Before Covid-19, Hüttenbach was Chief of Staff at Quantgene, a company working on cancer detection. The pandemic handed him an unrelated problem: building fast, reliable corporate testing for employers almost overnight.
The move
He solved it, then noticed the public had no equivalent option. In 2020 he founded SameDay Health as founder and CEO, built around one promise: results back the same day.
The result
Within about a year, roughly 50 locations across 15 states. At its peak, more than 2,000 employees and three million patients served, before an acquisition by Rume Health in May 2023 carried the business forward under new ownership.
